it's funny how the game works when you stop being the cat, chasing after folks. the mouse sobers up and soon realizes that the world doesn't always revolve around them...that they are becoming less and less of a functional thought in the mind of the cat. because you see, after a while the cat becomes disgruntled playing a game that she always loses...never catching the mouse. if it's a game, shouldn't both cat and mouse get victories every now and again? somehow there are mice that don't play the game fairly...they probably shouldn't be playing with cats to begin with. no, some mice need more stuanch, grimey, denser opponents...cats that are fine with submitting to a lesser role in the game all the time and have no problem with losing again and again and again...and still comes back for more torture and abuse. i just told my mighty mouse that i don't want to play the game with her anymore.
meanwhile...
i touched land in an unfamiliar place last night...out of my character to say the least. but since i didn't have anything to lose, and was prepared for impending bumps in the road, i had no fear for whatever course of events that would take place. all i had to do was play the course. it was fun to not have to be in the drivers seat for once...i didn't have to be in control of the excursion if i didn't want to be. so i enjoyed the ride. although complimentary treats were offered, i didn't take them this time...
